The Most Reliable MRT System in The World

Taipei Metro connects Taipei and New Taipei City with 117 stations and five routes (blue, brown, orange, green and red). If you want to travel around Taipei, it is the best, and the most economical way is to take Taipei Metro.

In this blog, I’ll introduce you every attraction in Taipei with its MRT line and station code. For example, R15 means this attraction is near 15th Station on Red Line.

How to Purchase MRT Ticket?

You can purchase the single trip ticket at the MRT station or Easy Card, a smart card that you can deposit money into it and pay for Taipei Metro, bus, public parking lot, YouBike and convenient stores at MRT information counters or convenience store (i.e. 7-11, FamilyMart).

Taipei Metro Travel Pass

There are 3 kinds of travel passes for tourists to purchase at the MRT information counter. 
Metro Pass: You can purchase 1-day pass or multiple day pass based on your travel plan.
Taipei Fun Pass(Transportation Pass): This pass is more expensive but you can take unlimited MRT and bus with this pass.
Taipei Fun Pass(Unlimited  Pass): This pass includes unlimited Taipei Metro, bus and ticket for attractions.
With these passes, you can travel around Taipei without worry about the transportation fee.

In addition to these passes, Taipei Metro also cooperate with Taoyuan Metro to issue joint ticket with round trip from Taoyuan airport to Taipei city and metro pass of Taipei Metro. It is also a great option for tourists visiting Taipei. Please refer to this article for details.
